While these neighborhoods offer luxury hotels, shopping, and coastal attractions, they generally require longer travel times to most sporting venues, making them better suited for visitors who plan to spend additional time exploring Los Angeles beyond game days.

Should You Stay Near SoFi Stadium?

Although SoFi Stadium is located in Inglewood, about 20 to 30 minutes west of downtown Los Angeles via I-110, we recommend staying downtown for almost every multi-sport road trip.

The reason is the geography and the schedule density. Every featured itinerary combines a Rams or Chargers home game at SoFi Stadium with a Kings home game at Crypto.com Arena downtown, and most itineraries add Dodgers, LAFC, or a second SoFi game to the schedule. Staying downtown puts you within walking distance of Crypto.com Arena for the Kings game, a 5 to 15-minute rideshare to Dodger Stadium or BMO Stadium, and a 20 to 30-minute drive to SoFi Stadium for the football game. Staying near SoFi Stadium in Inglewood would add 45 to 60 minutes of drive time to Crypto.com Arena in the opposite direction, which cancels out any convenience benefit for the NFL game.

For most visitors, the easiest option is a rental car (Los Angeles International Airport is 20 minutes from downtown by car and 10 minutes from SoFi Stadium, and rents at competitive rates), which handles both the drive to Inglewood on Sunday and the drive to Dodger Stadium or BMO Stadium on other nights. Elite Sports Tours also runs coordinated round-trip shuttle service from the downtown hotel cluster to SoFi Stadium on NFL game days, which is the recommended option for fans on the September 19-21 and October 10-13 four-game weekends. Rideshare (Uber and Lyft) works but game-day surge pricing to SoFi Stadium can hit $100 or more each way.

If you are attending only a Rams or Chargers game and want to be closest to SoFi Stadium, the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel and the H Hotel Los Angeles are the two primary options in the LAX and Inglewood corridor. However, for a multi-venue Rams, Chargers, and Kings trip, downtown Los Angeles remains the best place to stay.

Getting Around Los Angeles During Your Multi-Sport Road Trip

Public transit can be useful for exploring parts of downtown, Hollywood, and Santa Monica, but it is less practical for reaching every sports venue. Walking distance from any downtown hotel and open every day.

Hollywood and the Walk of Fame. Fifteen minutes north of downtown by car, the Hollywood Walk of Fame runs 1.3 miles along Hollywood Boulevard with more than 2,700 stars for entertainment industry figures. The TCL Chinese Theatre and its famous handprint courtyard, the Dolby Theatre (home of the Academy Awards), and the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel all sit within a five-block walk of the Walk of Fame. Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. The Getty Center. The Richard Meier-designed art museum on a Brentwood hilltop is one of the great American art museums. Free admission, free parking ($20), and the tram ride up the hill is a genuine art-museum experience. Combine with a morning Getty Villa trip in Malibu (the second Getty campus, focused on ancient Greek and Roman art) for a full art day.

The classic Los Angeles food scene.
