Where to Stay in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Strip is the ideal home base for a multi-sport getaway. Staying near T-Mobile Arena or the central Strip puts you within easy reach of both Allegiant Stadium and the city's top attractions, making it simple to enjoy Raiders football, Golden Knights hockey, and everything Las Vegas has to offer without spending much time in transit.

For most visitors, the area around T-Mobile Arena, Park MGM, New York-New York, ARIA, and the Cosmopolitan offers the best combination of convenience, dining, entertainment, and nightlife. You'll also be close to Sphere, world-class restaurants, shopping, casinos, and many of the Strip's most iconic attractions, making it easy to fill your time between games.

While Downtown Las Vegas and Summerlin offer a different side of the city, the Strip remains the best choice for fans planning to attend both Raiders and Golden Knights games during the same trip.

Looking for hotel recommendations? Explore our complete guides to the Best Hotels Near T-Mobile Arena and the Best Hotels Near Allegiant Stadium.

Should You Stay Near Allegiant Stadium?

For most multi-sport trips, staying on the Las Vegas Strip is the best choice. The Strip offers convenient access to both Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena while placing you in the heart of the city's world-famous entertainment, dining, and nightlife.

If your trip is focused primarily on a Raiders game, staying near Allegiant Stadium is a great option. Hotels in the Mandalay Bay area provide easy access to the stadium and are within walking distance on game day. However, if you're planning to attend both a Raiders and Golden Knights game, staying farther north on the Strip puts you closer to T-Mobile Arena while still keeping Allegiant Stadium just a short walk or rideshare away.

For most visitors, a central Strip hotel offers the best overall experience. You'll be close to both sports venues while also enjoying easy access to Sphere, top restaurants, casinos, shopping, and the many attractions that make Las Vegas one of the world's premier vacation destinations.

Getting Around Las Vegas During Your Multi-Sport Road Trip

Las Vegas is one of the easiest sports destinations to explore without a car. Most visitors staying on the Strip can walk to T-Mobile Arena, while Allegiant Stadium is just a short walk or quick rideshare away. With hotels, restaurants, entertainment, and both sports venues located close together, getting around is simple and convenient throughout your trip.

For longer distances, rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are readily available, and the Las Vegas Monorail offers an easy way to travel along the east side of the Strip. Many sports travel packages also include transportation to and from Raiders games, allowing you to avoid traffic and parking while focusing on the experience.

If you're flying in, Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is located just minutes from the Strip, making arrivals and departures quick and convenient. Once you're checked into your hotel, you'll have easy access to Raiders football, Golden Knights hockey, Sphere, world-class dining, casinos, shopping, and the countless attractions that make Las Vegas one of the world's premier entertainment destinations.

Las Vegas Between Games: What to Do on Your Sports Weekend

The reason a Las Vegas sports weekend works so well is that the trip is not just the games. A weekend here that skips the Sphere, the restaurants, and the Strip is a wasted trip. Here is what our team recommends between the Raiders and Golden Knights games.

Metallica at the Sphere. Metallica's Sphere residency runs from October 1, 2026 through March 13, 2027, which places the yearlong immersive concert directly across every dual-sport weekend on the 2026-2027 Raiders and Golden Knights calendar. The Sphere is the most technologically advanced concert venue in the world, with a 16K wraparound video display, a 160,000-speaker Beamforming audio system, and haptic seats that pulse with the music. Metallica's Sphere show is being produced with entirely new visuals designed specifically for the venue. Tickets range from $200 to $600 depending on the section and the specific date. Every dual-sport weekend in this guide can be extended into a triple event by adding a Metallica Sphere show on the Friday or Saturday night.

The Wizard of Oz immersive experience. The Sphere runs the immersive Wizard of Oz production continuously throughout the 2026-2027 calendar as a daytime alternative to the Metallica residency. The production uses the Sphere's 360-degree visual canvas to take viewers into the Emerald City in a way no other cinema experience can replicate. Two-hour production, matinee and evening showings, and tickets that run at a fraction of the Metallica residency prices. Worth a Saturday afternoon or a Sunday morning before an evening hockey game.

The Sphere exterior LED display. Even without a ticket to a show, the Sphere exterior is worth a Strip walk on any Vegas weekend. The 580,000-square-foot LED exterior (the largest LED display in the world) rotates through original visual content, brand takeovers, and film-tribute animations every 15 minutes. Best viewed from the pedestrian bridge on the Venetian and Palazzo side, or from the Wynn Golf Club walking path. Free to view, walking distance from any east-Strip hotel.

The Bellagio Fountains. The choreographed water show in front of the Bellagio Hotel runs every 30 minutes from mid-afternoon to midnight, with different musical accompaniments for each show. Free to view, walking distance from any CenterStrip hotel. The 8pm to 10pm slot with a Frank Sinatra or Andrea Bocelli accompaniment is the classic Vegas Strip experience.

Michelin-starred Strip dining. Every top American chef has a Vegas outpost. Joel Robuchon at MGM Grand (Vegas's only three-Michelin-star restaurant) is the definitive fine-dining stop. Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas, CUT by Wolfgang Puck at Palazzo, Bavette's Steakhouse at Park MGM, and Estiatorio Milos at the Venetian all run at world-class standards. For casual Vegas classics, Peppermill on the Strip (open 24 hours since 1972), In-N-Out Burger (multiple Vegas locations), and Secret Pizza inside the Cosmopolitan are all standard stops.

Fremont Street downtown. Fifteen minutes north of the Strip by car, the Fremont Street Experience is the historic downtown Vegas casino corridor with the SlotZilla zip line, the Viva Vision canopy show every hour, and old-school casinos including the Golden Nugget, Binion's, and the Four Queens. A Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning trip to Fremont Street pairs well with lunch at Andiamo Italian Steakhouse at the D or a cocktail at the Downtown Cocktail Room. The Neon Museum (the Boneyard of retired Vegas signs) sits three blocks north and runs guided tours every hour.

Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam day trips. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is 30 minutes west of the Strip, with a 13-mile scenic drive through the sandstone formations and multiple hiking trailheads. Hoover Dam sits 45 minutes southeast of the Strip on the Arizona border, with guided tours through the powerhouse and the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge that spans the Colorado River. Both work well as Saturday morning trips between a Friday hockey game and a Sunday afternoon Raiders game.

The Strip nightlife scene. Omnia at Caesars Palace, Hakkasan at MGM Grand, XS at Encore, and Zouk at Resorts World are the current top nightclubs on the Strip. Cocktail bars including the Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan, the Vesper Bar at the Cosmopolitan, and the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace are the more relaxed evening options. Every CenterStrip hotel is walking distance from at least three top-tier nightlife venues.
